A New Day for Josephites

A New Day marked the theme for the Sisters of St Joseph of Goulburn and Tasmania when they met for a shared Assembly at MacKillop House, Lyneham, ACT, from December 28, 2008 to January 02, 2009.

Some fifty Sisters from both congregations shared prayer, discussion, discernment and celebration over the four days together. The purpose of the Assembly was to consider what shape a future shared journey might take, if indeed, such a venture were even possible.

The Conference process concluded with a historical and unanimous commitment from both groups to "explore new ways of becoming one congregation that will embrace new forms of being Josephite."
