Junior Josephite

Junior Josephite groups or "Junior Joeys" are being set up in our Josephite Catholic Schools and Colleges. 

Through their membership of "Junior Joeys", young people are encouraged to be actively engaged in their school communities bringing to life the Josephite charism amongst their peers.

"Junior Joeys"are groups of primary school students who show enthusiasm for the Josephite Charism and are committed to sharing this spirit in their daily lives.

The Junior Josephite Program, with its three components: Learn, Pray and Practise, aims to help students to

• learn about and emulate the virtues of Mary MacKillop, Julian Tenison Woods and the first Sisters of St Joseph;
• pray for Josephites and their ministries throughout the world;
• practise some outreach

‘Sessions for Junior Joeys’ a series of ten 30 minute sessions on the Josephite charism is available from the Josephite Mission and History Centre.

Having made a formal commitment to live out the spirit of St Joseph, the students receive a Junior Joeys badge. These are available from the Josephite Mission and History Centre.
